The story of Galop Marin

The residence « Maison Galop Marin » was built in the XVIIIth century and is the emblem of the coastal village of Saint-Jean-le-Thomas.

After its purchase in 2019, this villa of Saint-Jean, (which, among other things, was at some point the workshop of the painter Albert Bergevin) needed a complete refurbishment.

During the six months of work, we took great care in not altering her style, respecting her history and chose to furnish it in an antique shop style, as we observed that it fitted it like a glove. So we went bargain hunting and refurbished furniture and items tirelessly to offer you a unique atmosphere today and we hope that you will enjoy it.

With the beach at the end of the street and its breathtaking panorama, the House occupies a ideal spot in the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel.

The Mont can be reached in 35 minutes. Granville and its shuttle lines to the islands (Chausey, Guernsey, Jersey, Sark), its historic city center and the Dior museum, among other things, are 20 minutes away.

The D-Day landing beaches are a stone's throw away, without forgetting all the activities that the region offers: beaches, restaurants to feast at, golf courses, ultralight flights, hikes, (Chemin des Douaniers, pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela), crossing from the shores to the Mont, exceptional panoramas (Cabane Vauban, Champeaux cliffs ...), horse riding, etc.
