ACTIVITIES
The Mont Saint Michel and its Abbey
Being a major visit of the Normandy region, the abbey and its subsections are classified as historical monuments of the UNESCO world heritage list. Located at 1h10 drive from the House, it cannot be missed.
The Normandy Landing Beaches
They made the history of the 20th century. The famous Normandy Landing Beaches are just a stone's throw from our house.
Utah Beach, 10 min by bike
Omaha Beach, 23 minutes.
The DDAY Experience Museum
Just 2 minutes by bike from the House, this new generation museum offers the possibility of climbing into the cabin of a real C-47 plane dating from 1943 and brings together one of the largest collections in the world relating to the Second World War.
History
For the more initiated, we are at the end of the “Purple Heart Lane”, the emblematic battle of the DDAY.
Beyond that, we are 45 minutes from the Caen Memorial Museum and also 35 minutes from the Cité de la Mer. As you will have understood, your diary will fill up quickly!
Entertainment
Shellfish gathering along the bay, introductory courses and horse riding, bike rides by the sea. A multitude of sports and recreational activities are available around the Maison Galop Marin.
